Rex M. Clack is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.  He handles matters in state and federal court in all major West Coast cities and throughout California.  He has extensive experience in jury and non-jury complex trials, mediation, arbitration and appellate work.  A graduate of Hastings College of Law, University of California (J.D.1973), University of Oregon (M.B.A., 1970) and San Jose State University (B.S., Engineering), Mr. Clack has been designated as a Proctor in Admiralty by the Maritime Law Association of the United States.  He is also a Member of the Defense Research Institute (Admiralty Committee), the Association of Defense Counsel, Northern California, the San Francisco Marine Claims Agents Association and the Board of Marine Underwriters.  He has also served as a Seminar Speaker for several maritime-related organizations including the Longshore Claims Association, Pacific Maritime Magazine and Passenger Vessels Association, and as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Apostleship of the Sea, and as General Counsel for the National Liberty Ship Memorial S.S. JEREMIAH O’BRIEN.
